Modern Traction Loco Data Volume 1: Brush Type 2s is the first of a series of books giving the allocation history of all locomotives of a particular class, in this case the Brush Type 2s (known as Class 31 under the TOPS classification system).
The locos are listed in order of original number. For each loco the book gives the date of each depot allocation and withdrawal, plus other significant changes such as naming and renumbering. Dates of scrapping or preservation details are also given.
At the back there is a list of loco names, TOPS numbers with their original D-prefixed numbers, and locos allocated to each depot in 1965, 1975, 1985 and 1995.
