Tracking Down 2: In Search of BR 1980s Passenger Turns is an album of black & white photographs illustrating loco-hauled passenger trains operating around the north-east of England during the early 1980s. The photographs were all taken by railway enthusiast Craig Oliphant, with Colin Alexander’s captions providing historical information about the locations pictured.

A wide variety of locos are featured, working on a range of long-distance and regional services. Locomotives covered include Classes 31, 37, 40, 45, 47, and the legendary Class 55 Deltics in their last few years of service. Some HSTs and first generation DMUs are also depicted, along with electric locos and an APT at Carlisle. The majority of the photographs are presented in one-per-page format, along with detailed captions.

83 black & white photographs. Hardback. 80 pages.
